Donor Album

Motivate Others to Give

CELEBRATE LEGACIES

In 1996 a study by Adam Corson-Finnerty at the University of Pennsylvania showed that donor testimonials motivate others to give and generate second-time gifts. We created the first planned giving website in our industry for Penn.

Today, our own research — and exhaustive ones by others such as Dr. Russell James — shows this is still true. Yes, endorsements are the most motivating advertising tool ever invented.

If you think about it, this is common sense. And a Donor Album is a great way to introduce and thank your donors, convey their feelings, and link them to their stories on your planned giving website. Even if you do not have stories, just having donor photos with testimonials sends a powerful message to your audience.

Features and Benefits

A Donor Album can also be part of a Cornerstone Brochure, creating an elegant and timeless ways-of-giving publication. Such pieces are crafted specifically for sophisticated organizations aiming to attract that special donor.

A Donor Album is available as a flipbook (above) that can be hosted and embedded on your planned giving website, can be emailed, or even be printed as a brochure to be distributed via US Mail or as a leave-behind at Legacy Society events or donor visits. It can also include video (additional fees apply).

Demo Samples

A Donor Album can also be utilized to honor a single donor, showcasing achievements after their passing. It’s a powerful way to show how individuals not only give but invest in their own legacy.

Below demos are for representative use and not actual clients.

What’s Involved?

  • We’ll send you a simple sign-up form. You can choose between a print Donor Album or an online version, or both. Print versions are useful for donor visits.
  • Make sure you have permission from your donors to display their photos. Very few will say no. (Let them know that their stories will motivate others to give.) If their stories are already on your website, chances are you have permission.
  • If you are compiling new donor stories, use our “interview tool” (MS Word) and 25 conversation starters (PDF). Or, utilize our donor interview services.
  • If you already have stories, we’ll help you pull out relevant quotes or testimonials. Alternatively, we can provide sample quotes you can adapt. Recommended word count: 35 – 45. Shorter makes an impact.
  • Some donors may ask you to help them with their testimonials. Offer that as an option.
  • We’ll need your logo and your contact information.
